Tue, Jul 06, 2010 -- TEST 2
TEST 2
The second test covers chapters: 4-8. It will be available from Thursday 7/8 until Monday 7/12 at 11:30 pm. Click the Test Study Guide to the left, and play the game before you take the test! There is a one hour time limit. You cannot log out, and log back in. Read all the instructions first. GOOD LUCK! John Chiappone Posted by: John Chiappone
P U N C T U A T I O N
Your assignments all show the use of run-on sentences. These are sentences that have more than one complete thought, and they are not punctuated correctly. When you have a complete thought, you need to think about punctuating. Also don't use a comma whenever you want to pause. Please print, read, and use this sheet on punctuation: Examples of Punctuation Posted by: John Chiappone
ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
When you do an assignment, click on the blue button to the left that says Assignments. Click the chapter you need to do, and click on the instructions to the assignment. Save your work as an RTF file, and attach it to the assignment. If for some reason you can't attach your work to the assignment, attach it to a message, but don't email it to me. Always read my comments and messages. Don't go to the external site; read the assignment instructions there, and email your work to me. The assignments page on the external site is for my lecture classes. Notice that their chapter 4 assignment is harder than your assignment. It has an extra step. STUDENT ART GALLERY
I want to say that this
class has done some of the best work. Great job on the test, and the art
has been painterly, spontaneous, free, and interesting. I posted some of
your work on the external site:
Class Art Gallery
. When more great examples become available, I will turn this page into
a separate gallery. Thanks to all the students who gave permission to
post their work. Great job to you all!John Chiappone Posted by: John Chiappone
FIRST WEEK WELL DONE!
Welcome to Intro to Humanities!
I look forward to getting to know each
of you. Online classes have unique challenges. There are technical
things we need to know. Lets get started by learning about Blackboard,
reading the syllabus, and doing our first assignment. I look forward to our collaborative learning efforts, and hope you will end up loving the humanities as much as I do.
